What To Expect

  • Initial Visit
  • A thorough health history questionnaire and chiropractic exam are done to help determine the cause of your problem. Once completed, x-rays may be ordered. Chiropractic adjustments are performed if determined they will be of benefit, and there are no contraindications from the exam, health history questionnaire, or x-rays. If adjustments are performed, you will rest briefly after the adjustment, and then a follow-up brief chiropractic exam is performed to determine the response to the chiropractic adjustment. Trigger point work may also be performed with the arthrostim instrument to enhance the effectiveness of the adjustments.

  • Follow-up Visits
  • These typically consist of a brief chiropractic exam to determine if an adjustment is necessary (the focus of this work is to correct your problem, so you may not always need to be adjusted), and if it is the chiropractic adjustment is delivered, it is followed by a brief rest period. At the conclusion, if an adjustment was given, a brief chiropractic exam is performed to determine the response to the chiropractic adjustment. Trigger point work may also be performed with the arthrostim instrument to enhance the effectiveness of the adjustments. Dr. Luther is committed to getting results with the fewest number of visits for maximum recovery with the intention that you don’t have to be dependent on chiropractic, except for periodic wellness visits — similar to going to a dentist periodically for maintenance and prevention of dental problems.
